From Wedding to Home - Wine Crates

I mentioned earlier this week about how I was going to reuse my wedding decor for a home makeover after the wedding! Well, here is a tip for you to do so. Wine Crates work perfect especially for vineyard weddings. The uses are endless as you can decorate your space by  add your favors or place cards in them or standing your cake on one for an extra touch. Depending on your budget, you could use one for each centerpiece by placing your centerpiece items inside the box. Either way, there really are quite a lot of options wedding-wise!

After the wedding, these are one of the most multi-purpose items you could have. Use them to store items on high shelves which will hold a bunch of clutter, but all that will be seen is the exterior of this beautiful and rustic crate. Also use them to create shelving or as planter boxes.

For a price tag of about $20,you have yourself a beautiful and rare addition to your wedding, then you have something which can be used constantly in your home! Enjoy!

Found this store online, but you can also check out local vineyards or supply stores!

Creating Wow Lighting - Hanging Lanterns

Definitely something I plan to incorporate A LOT of, hanging lanterns! I will definitely be doing a lot of those little white lights, but hanging clusters of lanterns will give it a different feel and a bit more "wow factor" to the space. And, as I showed in my previous lantern post, I already have a few, and getting more will only cost about $6 each! Not bad.

Does anyone know where to find smaller lanterns or different looking lanterns?? I am also adding lanterns to my centerpieces and I need something on the smaller side.

Deep Red Wedding - Captured by Picotte Photography

Does Picotte Photography ever stop with the incredible candid and artistic wedding shots? Apparently not as witnessed by this incredible shoot we have for you today. She just wows me everytime with her wedding features!

The pre-shots of the bridesmaids and groomsmen are priceless. Those gardens are fantastic and quite the "photo setting"!

The deep red roses match her wedding colors perfectly without overwhelming the setting with color.

I really have no words for this incredibly amazing setting. It's just an amazing backdrop for your wedding day!

Again, just no words. The details, the food, the colors, all very rich and very inviting. Quite the amazing reception spot.

And what a great ending to a night! Those embarrassing but priceless photos of guests that end up all over blogs...amazing!

Thanks so much to Picotte Photography for this amazing feature :)

Ps- I loved Picotte so much I used her image as my header. Amazing isn't it?

Venue Search Part 2 - Reception

Last week I showed off my lovely venue and talked about the big issues involved! (If you didn't read that one you can check it out here) After being fully upset that I would never get this venue situation figured out, I decided it was time (again) to scour the Internet for reception sites. Low and behold, I found another solution. But since all of this can't just be simple for me, there are of course wrinkles in the plan.

The place is called Bargetto Winery and is about 5 minutes away from the Monarch Cove Inn. So as for the plan, here it goes:

Start the ceremony at 3:00pm at the Monarch Cove Inn. Right after, we would do pictures with the epic views while the rest of the wedding has a cocktail hour on the fantastic deck of the Monarch Cove Inn.

At 5:00pm the party would move to the Bargetto Winery for the reception. It is an outdoor space, with lots of greenery all around, it is a second stunning wedding spot. The downside is that the space ends at 9:00pm which is a bit early.

The second issue: the price! With two wedding spots comes two site fees. I need to work it all out but it seems slightly weird to pay double fees. Apparently the Monarch Cove Inn is that worth it to me.

I need some help! $4900 in site fees??? Am I being ridiculous?
