I Want That Hair!
Source: Kiss the Groom
I have naturally red hair and up until about a year ago, I had never enhanced the color or done anything of that sort. I started doing some highlights here and there, but nothing special (I literally do highlights maybe twice a year...and you can't really see the "root"). I have never gotten to the point of fully dying it or doing anything too extreme.
So why am I telling you this probably boring story about my hair?? Well, I think for the wedding I want to do something pretty big. I want to have "statement hair" if you will. Not pink or green, but like the picture above. It is super bright and vibrant, but still looks natural. I can't do this a week before the wedding because what if I just look horrid?? Anyways, that color with my skin tone and in a white dress is gorgeous as far as I can picture it! I'll have to consult Sylvia (my hair girl) because I am sure she can help me out with a good color.
Florals To Start Your Day Off Right
To start out the day, I will show off a beautiful bouquet! Of course this photo by The Nichols is stunning in itself, but I'd like to focus your attention to that bouquet for just a moment. I want white, and I want pops of color! So doesn't that seem like the perfect balance of both?
However, here is another idea that I love....and it is pretty much the exact opposite! Bright colored bouquets! I think that is going to be my main problem when planning, it's hard to decide on just one theme! Whatever I do, those little yellow balls will be in my bouquets, I'm pretty much obsessed with those!
What are you looking at for your florals??? Anything particular that you are obsessed with??

Wedding Day Looks
Let's talk make up for a second! The options are truly endless, but there may be a few things to consider when doing your wedding day make-up! Generally you are going to want a look that isn't far too trendy. In 30 years from now you may not want to look back on a wedding photo regretting a fad you were rocking at that time. Keep the look classy and timeless, but by no means says you have to be boring!
The smokey eye may be a bit too harsh for the wedding day, but try one of these blended smokey eye looks. The drama of the eye is still there but it is blended to keep the look on the mild side. I personally love this look, especially with golds!
Here are pinks and oranges to create a more of a glow as opposed to a more dramatic look. This definitely screams fresh and clean. Just gorgeous!
Gobs of foundation paired with gobs of Mascara is never a good look. Of course you know that, but how much is too much? Obvisouly you will be wearing more make-up than you would on a given Wednesday but be sure your look enhances your features instead of covering them all up.
Now here is the question-do you feel comfortable experimenting with your own wedding day looks, or are you planning on handing that pjob over to a professional??
What look are you planning on doing for your wedding day?
Lovely Bridesmaid Attire
Source: Aspiring Couture
I absolutely love this dress by Jesica Milton. The color, the silhouette, and the design are just prefect. This bold piece is perfect for any spring or summer wedding and will definitely compliment the bride with a great contrast of color.
Then there is the bridesmaid bouquet. You have heard me rant and rave about Rosebud Lips in the past, but I am here to do that again! This bouquet is just fantastic. It offers an all white, textured alternative to a real bouquet.
If your wedding dress has flowers or textures, which are quite the trends right now, this bouquet will tie is incredibly well. Mix it with this bold color dress, amazing.

Flower Necklaces
Source: MiaShoeBox, Bejewelled, Bridal Couture, Rosebud lips
I love the idea of pearl and a big flower necklaces for all the bridesmaid. The one I am really thinking about using is the top left with the simple pearls and the light pink flowers. My bridesmaid dresses are gray, so those colors will compliment very well!
Rosebud Lips Garter Belt Collection
Rosebud Lips really puts a brand new twist on the word garter belt! Her feminine designs take this tradition to a whole new level!
The lace and three rose bud design is just amazing. She incorporates pearls, brooches, and lots if beautiful white lace to create a simple look to resemble a modern vintage look.
To my surprise when checking out her etsy shop, she has two more to add to her collection! A single rose for those who want uber-simplistic and a darker blue version of her original rose garter belt!
I just couldn't refrain from sharing the newest over at Rosebud Lips!
Check out her guarder belt on the Aspiring Couture Bridal Boutique!
Smart Bride - LVC Mag Guest Post
With the “budget bride” becoming the new big thing, lots of new wedding resources are sprouting up to handle the need of this new kind of bride. But there is one thing taking popularity faster than the rest – recycled wedding dresses. Bring it on! The days of spending money to preserve and box your gown so you can add it to the stuff already in your closet are over! Check out the rest of the article I wrote about Smart Bride over on LVC Mag!
A Little Style for Your BM's
I know what you are thinking, Bridesmaid?? Really?? Well, the answer is YES! I love non-traditional BM dresses and styles, and these all just really go outside the box enough to take away that stuffy cookie-cutter wedding feel of bright colored satin. Red Doll, the amazing designer of this collection, really knows her stuff when it comes to silhouette and overall design.
As long as your dress is a "wow" dress, any of these BM dresses would only compliment you as the Bride, not to mention complete the overall look of your wedding by showing a little bit of style! Let the BM's have a little attention when it comes to their outfit, but if you have a fantastic style complete with the perfect hairpiece, shoes, and guarder belt, you will not be out-shined by your BM's.
PS: My all time favorite of this collection, and one I would highly recommend is the top dress!
Buttons All Down Your Back
Wow, lots of teasing today. Sorry about that, I really do want to show you guys all of this amazingness in full view! The entire wedding will be posted tomorrow for you :)
I LOVE BUTTONS! I want a dress like this (well actually if I am wanting things, I want this dress!) I will keep buttons in mind when I search for the perfect dress. Speaking of the perfect dress, it is almost time to start dress shopping pretty soon. I am excited to try on all the different styles and find out what styles actually look good on me.
Of course I am in love with the Vera Wang dress, but I think it may also be smart to test the waters a bit and see what other designers there are out there. Also, I am pretty sure I will be buying a recycled wedding dress. I have been searching though Smart Bride to find some that I like.
What designers should I look out for?? Is there anyone I am missing on my radar? Also, of you are already married, are you selling your dress? I would love to see what my readers have for sale! Send over links!
