DIY Springtime Affair

Doesn't this get you ready for springtime? This adorable style shoot doesn't spare one detail when it comes to color. The birdcages are definitely my favorite with this gold tones. This bridal shower affair is totally wonderful when it comes to the frilly details. And who doesn't love teacups :) Thanks to the amazing Jessica Lewis for this photo shoot. Lavender Love by Shannon Leahy

I sing praises of my planner Shannon Leahy all the time. Not only is she totally amazing and helping me keep my head straight, she is a totally wonderful designer. This was one of the shoots that sold me on her and I knew that she would be the perfect choice for me. I love how organic this look is. A touch of nature, a touch of lavender and a touch of fruit create the most romantic picnic I have ever seen.

Shadow Bear Feature

Shadow Bear Photography is starting the year off right by offering one bride a free photography package! Today's feature is a style shoot by Shadow Bear. This Alice in Wonderland look is playful and flirty and oh so fun. I'm loving this dress so very much. The color palette all together is just dreamy.

Striped Table Cloths

I WANT THIS! Who thinks it fits in with my style of the wedding. I'm doing all burlap, lace, muslin, etc. But wouldn't strip table cloths just make everything look that much more amazing? Probably not. I know. I love way too many things.

Hearting This Cake

I'm having one of those "Spill the Beans" moments right about now! I saw this and I HAD to share, even though I know better than to blurt out each and everything about my life...Oh well, here goes. The thought process came about when I was thinking how slightly boring some bridal showers and baby showers can be. It is really nothing against the people, I actually blame it on the time of day, what is there to do from 2-4 on a Sunday anyway? I decided to do a bridal shower brunch because it gives people a definite thing to do (eating amazing croissant french toast) instead of just sitting around. The theme and color palette of a brunch is also totally amazing, and though I barely ever eat it, brunch is my fave meal.

I then had this amazing idea that I plan to facilitate for my baby shower.  To peak the interest of people and give the event something exciting to do, I have decided to create a mystery. Basically the invites won't say if I'll be having a boy or a girl. When everyone comes we'll have a game where everyone guesses. And finally, the answer will be revealed. In the middle of a cake. Yep! A Cake! If it is a girl the inside of the cake will be pink and if it is a boy, the inside will be blue. To take it one step further, I am most definitely doing this cake idea.

Now I can't wait for my babes shower...

Our Year and Lovely Inspiration

This weekend I engaged in some massive inspiration finding. I have a whole new slue of ideas, inspirations, colors and everything else. Probably not the best idea with only 3 months until the wedding. That is definitely something I am known to do. In those findings I came across these lovely images that just made my day a million times over. Enjoy the first days of 2011 with some wonderful inspiration. This year is seriously going to be the best yet. No more of my thunder can be stolen this year. It's my year, it's our year. I can't wait for all the amazing things that 2011 has to offer, and I just can't wait.

First up, the wedding! :)

Sparkle White Inspiration

We're in the final stretch of 2010, time to get your paper out and start jotting down your resolutions. I've never actually done resolutions at the beginning of the year, but I figure the idea can't be half bad. I've been thinking a lot about what they are going to be and what I am going to accomplish in the coming year. This year is going to be a BIG one, so I better start getting prepared now. In other news, this board just seems fitting to me today. So many of you are snowed in and stuck in blizzards while us over here on the west coast are enjoying ever so cold temps. So here is a board of the spring that is to come when white becomes beautiful, and when the next lot of brides tie the knot! I oh so very in love with every piece of this board today.

Etsy Favorites

I see so many amazing weddings that have accents from Etsy. I know that Etsy is an incredible wedding resource for us brides, but for some reason I never seem to find anything on there. Maybe it's the way I search or the things I am looking for, but I never seem to find anything good from Etsy! Yet, I KNOW those amazing shops exist. Are their other brides out there that feel the same way? So, who wants to help me out here? What are your favorite Etsy shops? Shops you stalk, you ordered from, or you plan to have in your wedding?

I do have a small few of my own that I really do love which I figured I would list below but I would love you all to post some links of your fave Etsy shops as well!
