Statement Necklaces + Kate Spade Favorites

Every collection of Kate Spade makes me happier than the last. I am one for the major "statement" jewelry especially on your wedding day. The bride and her girls should definitely embrace all that an amazing statement piece has to offer. The right piece can make your bridal look so very much more amazing!

Every collection of Kate Spade makes me happier than the last. These are all my favorites of the moment, but that gold bracelet is calling my name. I may need to buy myself a new piece of jewelry!

Colorful Day-After Bridal Shoot

Not often do I see Trash The Dress shoots that really just blow me away. This one I love because it is similar to the concept of an engagement shoot mixed with a wedding dress shoot. Oh how I just loved putting on my wedding dress over and over again :) I definitely should have done a day-after shoot when there was more time to really have a moment. Oh and I am just dying for these florals!

Kate Spade Statement Bridal Accessories

I can't get enough of Kate Spade. Really really. I wore a statement Kate Spade necklace on my wedding day and seem to have gathered quite a collection by now. Kate Spade is always my go-to accessory designer when I need something awesome to complete my outfit.

These are my favorite pieces from her summer collection and the new fall collection from Kate Spade.

And just for good measure I have thrown in my newest favorite accessory, this gem ring in a bevy of amazing colors. And since purple is my go-to fall obsession, that's my favie!

{Yay or Nay} Tea Length Dresses

The question of the day is would you ever consider ditching the traditional long dresses for a spunky tea length dress? I can't say I didn't consider it, but in the end, tradition won seeing as I was only doing this once. But I see these brides walking out in their bold statement dresses, like this one, and I get that itch for the tea length. Although, to be totally honest, if I was rocking the short, or wanted just a reception dress, I would go with this baby.

But that is the brilliance of already being married, I can dream up wonderful weddings and beautiful ideas, but I don't have to execute them for a party of 100. (Which is why styled shoots have saved me since the wedding)

Ok your turn. If you are already married, would you consider a vow renewal in a short spunky dress? How about you brides, have any of you ditched tradition and gone with the short?

White Party Dress Dreams

Back in the beginning of my blogging days, when I was newly engaged, I was searching for the perfect engagement party dress. I was getting opinions from readers about which dress, and as you can see times haven't changed seeing as I did that up until the day of my wedding. I picked this as my fave dress for the Engagement Party.  (read a little more about that here, here, and here)

This favorite dress of mine is back in action at Nordstrom! It was out of commission for about a year, but as I was pursuing the racks, I came across it again. I hope that you bridal shower peeps take note because this is the perfect little dress. I wish I had another occasion to wear this.  :(

Enjoy!

Creative Fabric Boutonnieres

The boutonniere was am awfully hard problem for me. And that became quite apparent when I realized a week before the wedding that I didn't have anything for the men. I literally had some fabric boutonnieres over-nighted to me by the amazing Lauren of RoseBud Lips which arrived at the hotel the day of the wedding! Talk about crazy times. The men probably have a different take on what they would like to have on their lapel, but as far as a wedding goes, the men have to like it, but it must be super cute and go with the whole theme. Ohh what a problem :) I'm loving these made by Lilies & Lemon Drops.

Gemma by Vera Wang

Priscilla of Boston started carrying Vera Wang right after I purchased my super amazing Melissa Sweet gown. I have been one to sway from dress to dress, but this one is the CLEAR winner. I am in freaking love with this Vera Wang number. Walking by the Priscilla of Boston store today I was caught in awe by this one that I actually called the store and asked the deets on it!

The Gemma by Vera Wang adds several of my favorite elements, tulle and sparkles, while still keeping it beyond classy, elegant and most of all (not to mention my favorite thing ever) very couture! This dress, with sweetheart would have my heart in no time.

.....I may need to get married again. Just so I can wear this.

I love you Vera Wang.

Neutral Bridesmaids

Neutral bridesmaids tones are one of those trends that will remain forever because it is so subtle and so classic. I absolutely loved how my girls ended up looking in the end as we went a step further and added a ton of texture to go with my already extremely textured dress. (Don't worry, I will show pics soon enough!) Different shade that compliment each other is even better. I love that we are getting out of the bright colors and satin dresses for bridesmaids and getting into something a little more flattering, fun and beautiful.

{Fashion} All You'll Get Out Of Me About The Royal Wedding.

If there is one trend I am going to be taking away from the Royal Wedding, it is all the amazing hats. Why can't America be this stylish? All you could see from aerial views were fluffy, fun, colorful hats, each one bigger than the next!

Lastly, I will say that I think Kate is a totally amazing choice for modern royalty. She is so composed, so together and just drop dead gorgeous. She looked a little off during the ceremony though. She looked either nauseous, maybe she was flustered or probably just dead tired. I'm sure she was just tired, and I can believe it.

And PPS. I loved her expression when she walked on the balcony to find the thousands and thousands of people cheering. She was so modest and totally cute.

But you will never hear me say that I loved the bottom of that dress (the bodice was incred though), or that tiara's should come back in style. But I loved the cap-sleeved dress Pippa wore. Now THAT I could get behind.

Tuesday Shoesday Love

I received an e-mail from an Engaged & Inspired reader who had her wedding in November. I was blown away by these totally amazing shoes and her overall bridal fashion, so I had to show it off! Shoes are such a big thing to complete the outfit. It is the part of the look that you can be totally crazy and add a little edge to your look, and she really took advantage of that with these shoes. Honestly, have you seen anything like them?

Of course we have all seen these Badgley Mischka's but they never cease to look amazing every time they are worn.
