Engaged & Inspired is here for the statement bride in us all. Because let’s be honest, brides are kind of a big deal!

Maintaining a chic exterior and going a little crazy inside for taking on too many DIY projects to create the perfect wow-factor wedding is what it is all about for modern brides. Let’s embrace the insanity for amazing details and pretty things that real brides with real budgets have. E&I inspires a fresh take on creative weddings without breaking the bank. I know I should say that while planning my wedding I realized my love for this industry and decided to dive in head first, but well, that just isn’t where it all started. Rewind about 10 years ago to a girl dreaming of a wedding (on a football field sized plexiglass tank floor with exotic fish inside floating in the middle of a lake) with a boy she had just met, but knew she had fallen for. After years of an on-again-off-again journey, endless drawings of dresses, reception spaces and ceremony spots (which were of course hung on her wall) well that is the beginning of this love I found for weddings.

10 years later, with that very man by my side and a rock on my finger I created Engaged & Inspired as a creative outlet and place to inspire and help other brides.

Dreaming of centerpieces, table numbers, ceremony signs and the likes and after months of glue guns, book pages, twine, paint and scissors in my hands, driving from antique shop to antique shop, I planned an uber-creative and seriously chic ranch style DIY wedding while being extremely budget savvy with my $15K budget, and by $15K, I mean…. $20k. And that day, was the best most amazing day of my entire life.

About a year after E&I launched I created The Inspired List. The ultimate wedding vendor directory made just for you by Engaged & Inspired, that helps brides stay in budget and still finding the perfect vendors for their big day. WithThe Inspired List, brides can find the wedding vendors who bring their inspiration to life.

And it doesn’t just stop there.  In fact, I am often found meeting with or e-mailing dozens of brides, helping, listening, giving advice and adding my tidbits about the (what can be) god-awful venue and vendor search. (I know some super-duper goodies, promise.) If you just want to say hi, go out for a coffee and chat weddings, e-mail me and let’s do it. Seriously, I am all ears when it comes to weddings! ALL EARS.

Aside from the glory that is this blog, I work freelance as a writer for several (over 50) publications all around the internet. From fashion, to weddings, to news and local tidbits, I cover it all. You will find me at a coffee shop every single day of my life…and I will probably be on Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest. Let’s be BFFs.
