Want to elope?
June 28, 2012
I’ve been fantasizing about beautiful elopements all day. (Is it okay to admit that?) Elopements have a really special way of just cutting out all the crap, and focusing on the love between a couple. A love that is as strong as ever on that particular day. A love that will be celebrated and honored by them alone for every hour of that very special day. Elopements can be a magical thing.
Here are some of my favorites:

Doesn’t it just seem like the most gorgeous, romantic photos are taken during intimate elopements? Every one I see is just magical. All you need is each other, no one else. Just the two of you, making a lifetime commitment to each other. No show, no performance. No expectations. You just get to walk away having married your best friend, and curling up together to soak it all in.

Full disclosure (if you can’t already tell): I’ve had a particularly difficult week filled with family drama. And these beautiful elopements just ease my mind on a day like today. It’s nice to know there’s always a gorgeous backup plan like many of the above.
Have any of you found yourself wanting to elope? Or better yet, did you actually elope?

These pictures make me smile! Sometimes the idea of eloping is so enticing. Boo family drama but never forget the reason you are getting married. You are tying the knot to start a life with your one love. I promise on your wedding day you will be dancing just like the bride in the San Fransisco City Hall :)
Oh Katie, you are so sweet! Your words really mean a lot to me :)
[...] Over the past few weeks, I’ve been feeling like I’m on the verge of imploding. Exploding would be too dramatic. Combusting into a ball of nothingness seemed more appropriate. (Remember my elopement post?) [...]
I absolutely adore your invitations, or announcements rather. I cannot for the life of me find any site that has elopement options like these. Where did you make them?
Hi Shelby! I wish I could tell you who made these beautiful announcement for this couple, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like Style Me Pretty (where I sourced this picture from) says who made them. I tried doing a little research for you, but couldn’t find anything useful. So sorry! I’m sure you’ll find someone who can make a beautiful option for you though :)
Hi Kalista & Shelby, a friend told me she saw our announcements on Pinterest, which led me here. I’m the bride in the photo with the black and gold announcement and am flattered you both like them.
I saw you were inquiring about them so I thought I’d leave a reply. We had them made at Papyrus. I spent forever looking as well and decided to design my own. I chose a card stock I liked, then played with different fonts, designs and verbiage and came up with these. I hope this helps! I’m sure you can do the same at any invitation or stationary store and probably online as well.
Good Luck & Congratulations!
Tiffany
That’s awesome Tiffany! Don’t you just love the ways of the world, and what brought you here? Your invites, and your entire wedding, are just GORGEOUS. Thanks for your inspiration!
