Wedding Bands..

I wasn’t quite sure what type of wedding band I’d like best with my brilliant cut solitaire ring - but I know I love a vintage or antique looking ring. It’s really hard to find that style of ring in chain jewelry stores though, and I’m worried about buying a ring online. What if they don’t fit together quite right in person? Have any of you purchased wedding bands online, without trying them on first? I’d really have to check their return policy before taking the plunge.
I also really like an enhancer, or ring guard style – they are really unique, and I liked how a few looked paired with my ring when we checked out a few stores this past weekend. Here are a few styles I’ve considered. Which is your favorite? Any good stores or sites you would recommend?
Or I could always choose a plain dainty band, and just add stones later if I wanted to. These rings by Blanca Monrós Gomez are so pretty.
Or maybe something totally different like these fingerprint wedding bands from this cute etsy shop?
How did you pick your wedding band? Did it match your engagement setting? I know whatever I pick will be great, and we could always upgrade for an anniversary, so I’m not stressing too much about it. But I need to make a decision pretty soon! What’s your wedding band look like?

Both my engagement ring and wedding band were ordered online my my fiance (he picked both out himself…the wedding band matches the band of me e-ring). We have had a fabulous experience with having ordered online so far. When he showed me the wedding band, I noticed that one of the diamonds was not as sparkly as the rest…I doubt no one else would have noticed but it stuck out like a sore thumb to me! We were able to send it back (free shipping, hooray) and they sent a replacement the very next day! :)
The enhancer/ring guard styles are really cool- super unique! Cant wait to see what you pick out!

My wedding band and engagement ring are a matching set from Tacori. I tried other rings on with my engagement ring, but nothing looked as good as the set. The jeweler tried to talk me into getting a wedding band that was diamonds all around (the eternity band) as opposed to one that was half diamonds. He swore to me that I’d be annoyed with the half diamond band when it spun around my finger and I’d have to “keep fixing it”. I just want to say that he was wrong. I have no complaints about it, and I’m glad I went with the half diamond band and saved lots of money!

@Christina: Oh that’s awesome they sent it right out to you! I think I’m definitely leaning towards enhancers! :)
@Lara: Good for you, sticking to your guns! Your rings are gorgeous! I think the enhancer appeals to me because it probably won’t spin! But then again, I should prob get my engagement ring sized, it spins a bit too :)

I love all of them! But especially the first options – the antique look is so pretty and adds some additional interest to a solitaire.
Also, can I HIGHLY recommend the jeweler Alana Norell – http://alananorell.com/. My fiance worked with her on my engagement ring (she is one of my best friend’s friends) and he was THRILLED with her work and expertise – and he is CHALLENGING to please at best. She is in NY and we are in CA, but he had no problems working with her via email and phone. She can design anything you want, and also guide you to making the right decision (thankfully she guided my fiance away from making some wrong decisions :). As you are doing your research, she is a great source even if you don’t end up going with her.
