Desperately Seeking Hairstyle

I have always thought I’d wear my hair down for my wedding. I wear my hair down 75% of the time, and I want to look like myself on my wedding day - except a little more fancy! But then I think, will I be too hot dancing? Will my hair flower look okay? I bought earrings (that okay, now I’m not feeling so sure about) but if I wear my hair down will they be totally hidden? I also like a few lowdo’s, but I think they look cool from one angle, but plain from the next. So, will I hate half the pictures?
I’m torn between wearing my hair down and wavy like this:
or this (which I love so much I’m tempted to go back to my natural color):
Or curled in a low do on one side of my head…
Here are a few more hairstyles I have pinned that I really like.
Simple side ponytail:
Or this intricate twisty updo
I bought a tulle birdcage veil, that I’m not entirely sold on. And a hair flower that is fairly large, that I really LOVE, and am definitely wearing! I can’t show you though, since my fiancé could see it. Which hair style do you like best? How did you wear your hair on your wedding day? Did it take more than one trial to find a style you loved? I’d love to hear your experiences!

Hi Kate! I had a hair trial when I was in AZ in October and had a low, messyish, side fishtail braid done and loved it. However, then I found my dress and realized that the braid doesnt work…so now I have to have another trial in March when I’m back in AZ. I’ll do it on a day that I have a dress fitting so that I can see the whole look together…hopefully that helps!
PS: I LOVE pic 1 and pic 6 :)

Christina- GOOD CALL! I should definitely do a trial on the day of one of my fittings – so smart! They don’t start until February though, which might make me anxious! Thanks for the tip!

Kate! I’m having the exact same dilemma, I don’t want to not look like myself but I love some updos from certain angles. I’ve been thinking lately that I’ll maybe do a braid or low, loose something for the ceremony that is just held up enough to last through the ceremony and then wearing my hair down for the reception. Just a thought :)
Christina, I love the idea of getting my hair done on the day of a dress fitting! Never thought of that!

Taylor: Oh, that’s a good idea, gives you the option to have two ‘do’s I am thinking I may wear the veil for the ceremony and flower for the reception, but I’m not sure yet. I’m doing a lot of second guessing, I think I just need to be decisive! :)

ladies! myfriend wore her hair in a low updo & veil for the ceremony & then took it down & wore long, loose curls with a flower. it looked amazing both ways & she was able to enjoy the party without worrying about her hair staying. she took pics with hair both ways so that she had options. i think this is the best of both worlds & it will even help your curls last to be in the updo first. just had to throw in my 2 cents!

Jessica- that definitely sounds like the best of both worlds, and good point about the curls holding better!

Thanks girls- glad you like the idea. I actually had the original trial on a day when I tried on dresses too…it was more out of a lack of time than brilliant thinking but I realized after how much it helped ;)
